THE WATCH-HER: A New Original Short Film by Edmahoo

It's been a hectic past few years, back in March 2020 I released the Motion Picture Soundtrack for my next short feature 'The Watcher'. "How times flies."

"The last time I said I was writing a short it ended up being a full-on feature length movie, this time it will definitely be a short!"

The idea for 'The Watcher' has gone through many drastic changes over the years and getting the story right has been crucial. Originally titled 'The Watcher' I have decided to retitle it and officially name it 'The Watch-Her' as it more suites to the storyline.

TIME - SCHEDULING:
Is it really possible to work on more than one project at once...?
How many times have you heard the term used 'I'm busy?' Sometimes I feel this is often used as an excuse, an excuse that others use to justify their inability to go beyond the extreme.

Let's go back to that question, "Is it possible?" My answer is yes it is!

Why?

The reason why I became a Solo Filmmaker is because I was fed up with the excuses I was getting from colleagues. I remember when I was studying there was always that one person or two that would let the group down, I was the one who would always seemed to end up  taking up the slack. Ever been part of  a live music band? The same goes, there would always be that one band member who would turn up late for rehearsals. It does start to take it's toll after so many years.

Being a Solo Filmmaker has taught me to rely only on my self and those closest to me and it has worked, I only have myself to blame if something goes wrong.

PROGRESS: Keeping Up To Date.
Technology has been moving so fast recently especially since AI has come on in such a big way. I'm not ignorant towards AI as I believe it will be around for a long time and will only get better and better the more it siphons off and sucks the juices out of our creativity. I think this is one of the reasons why I still like using analogue and will always try to incorporate it within my projects.

AI has been useful in many and has allowed me to process some of my creative works much quicker. I've always been inquisitive and like to know the how, when and where. I think that's the creativity in me, always wanting to know how and learning new things. "But I am only one person, and I think that's where AI comes in, it has allowed me to do tasks that might have taken me hours in such a shorter time period for example, in my latest 'The Creative and Solo Filmmaker' Episode Four I explain how AI can benefit me in this way."

With writing and storyboarding in full swing I plan to start filming over the Summer Holiday period.
Below are a few behind the scenes images from a photo shoot I took for the artwork design and for the Motion Picture Soundtrack album...
